Description
This striking Mid-Century Modernist wine cooler/champagne bucket was designed and signed by Arthur Court in 1982, masterfully combining artistic design and functionality. The cooler takes the shape of a sculptural boar, a bold and dynamic motif that reflects Court's penchant for animal-inspired creations.
Crafted from polished aluminum and brass, the piece features a sleek, reflective finish that highlights the boar's intricate detailing. The blend of metals adds a luxurious feel, while also emphasizing the juxtaposition of texture and tone. Its functionality as a wine or champagne cooler is cleverly integrated into the design, making it a conversation-starting piece perfect for entertaining or display.
As a signed Arthur Court design, this wine cooler is not only practical but also highly collectible. Known for his innovative animal sculptures and craftsmanship, Court’s works have become celebrated examples of modernist design with enduring appeal. This one-of-a-kind 1982 piece serves as both a functional bar accessory and a sculptural statement, ideal for collectors or admirers of Mid-Century Modern decorative arts. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
