Description
This whimsical yet elegant Mid-Century Modernist wine cooler/champagne bucket was designed and signed by Arthur Court in 1986. Crafted from polished aluminum and brass, the piece features a sculptural elephant design, combining functionality with artistic flair.
The elephant motif—a symbol of wisdom and good luck—adds a playful yet sophisticated touch, while the polished metals give the piece a sleek, modern aesthetic. The combination of aluminum and brass highlights both texture and contrast, creating a standout piece perfect for entertaining or as a dramatic centerpiece.
As a signed work by the celebrated designer Arthur Court, known for his imaginative use of animal motifs in metalwork, this wine cooler is both a functional item and a collectible piece of art. Whether used to chill wine or champagne for a special occasion or as a decorative element, it embodies the era’s exquisite balance of style and practicality. An excellent addition for collectors or fans of Mid-Century Modern design. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
