Pair of American sterling silver gravy boats in French Classical style, ca 1920. Each: Curved bowl with steep and gadrooned helmet mouth. Capped high-looping double-scroll handle and stepped serpentine foot. Chased concentric c-scrolls. Part of the “1774-1793” line in the Louis XVI-style that was introduced by Black, Starr & Frost in the early 1920s. Marks include Black, Starr & Frost stamp and year “1774”. Very good condition.
Overall dimensions: H 6 5/8 x L 7 3/4 x W 3 7/8 in. Total weight: 26 troy ounces. #CC528 -
