Description
Carl Paul Petersen Sterling Silver Compote, Montreal, C.1940. In the style of Georg Jensen, with a leaf-shaped bowl hammered finish, curved handle terminating in bud leaf, supported by three open petals on a domed circular foot. Height: 7 inches. Length: 5.50 inches. Weight: 348 grams. Petersen was born in Denmark and apprenticed with Georg Jensen. He married one of Jensen's daughters and later moved to Montreal.
