Fancy American Victorian Classical Gilt Sterling Silver Cake PlateCC354American Victorian Classical sterling silver cake plate, ca 1890. Round and curved well engraved with leafing scrollwork, flowers, and diaper; stylistically integrated script monogram in central rondel. Pierced guilloche shoulder; cast leafing scroll rim with interspersed scallop shells and scattered flowers. Four leaf-capped scroll supports. Sumptuous Gilded Age gilding.
