English Victorian Sterling Silver Brilliant-Cut Glass Claret Jug 1898CC740Victorian Classical claret jug. Made by George Wish in Sheffield in 1898. Straight and upward tapering glass bowl with brilliant-cut ornament in triangular frames. Sterling silver collar and spout with chased leafing scrollwork and flowers, and scalloped rondels (vacant); cover hinged with radiating gadroons and c-scroll finial. Plain s-scroll handle with reeded band. Fully marked. Very good condition.Dimensions: H 12 x W 6 1/2 x D 4 1/4 in. #CC740
