Provenance: James M. Labaugh Antiques, Pound Ridge, NY; Rochelle Thomas, New York and Palm Beach
This Chinese Export soup tureen with covered lid and original under-plate is decorated with blue Fitzhugh-type boarders and bears the arms of the Arthur family of Clopton and Springfield in Essex, England, impaling those of the Darvall or D’Arville family of England, who were granted arms in 1755.
Dimensions: 9 ½” x 12” x 14 ¼ “ (overall).
