Description
This oblong copper fish kettle, or poisonierre, was made in provincial France, c. 1860, and features a hand-forged forged iron bail handle and cut-steel brackets. It displays a rich, patinated finish that has recently been hand-polished to a brilliant shine. This fine piece of cookware can still be used for cooking or for display on a hanging pot rack.
