Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Ta
a No. 264. This large compote/ta
a is in a ‘Grape” motif that was designed by Georg Jensen in 1918. This piece was a gift presented to Frederik Lunning (1881-1965) by the Georg Jensen Silversmithy in 1928. The ta
a measures 10.875 inches high and the bowl is 10 inches in diameter. The ta
a/compote bears impressed company marks for Georg Jensen circa 1925-1932, Sterling, Denmark and is in excellent condition.
Recently included in the exhibit of Georg Jensen hollowware at the Art Institute of Chicago: Georg Jensen: Scandinavian Design for Living June 22, 2018–September 9, 2018
