Deep and tapering well and wide turned-down rim with chased Quattrocento grotesque ornament, including griffins and foliate scrolls. Satyr heads applied over leaf-and-berry border. Raised foot with same leaf-and-berry border. With gilt brass flower frog with leafing scrollwork and bud finial. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date symbol, pattern name, and no. A12790.
