Indian silver mythological bird-form jug
Indian, 19th Century
Height 27cm, width 22cm, depth 12cm
This unusual jug is crafted from silver in the form of a bird being bitten by a dragon. The silver bird, complete with tooled and moulded plumage, stands on an integral socle, while a dragon-like creature with intertwining tails bites the back of its head. -
