Exceptional Art Deco decanter set is attributed to the celebrated Karl Palda glassworks of Haida, Bohemia—now part of the Czech Republic. Crafted in the 1930s, the set showcases Palda’s signature use of bold geometry and striking color contrast. The faceted crystal decanter and matching glasses feature a dramatic interplay of deep ruby red and clear glass, accented by sharply etched geometric patterns that epitomize the sleek modernism of the Art Deco movement.
The precision-cut angles, mirrored symmetry, and vibrant coloration reflect the height of European design during this era. The set embodies both functional elegance and decorative sophistication with its stylized stopper and matching flared-foot glasses.
As a complete and beautifully preserved example, Karl Palda’s innovation and enduring influence in decorative glassware design continue to represent some of the best Czech Art Deco glass. - More Information
