Large Famille Rose Punch Bowl, c. 1860-1870

Description
This is an excellent example of a large Chinese Export Famille Rose Punch Bowl in the Rose Mandarin pattern. The bowl is beautifully decorated with traditional Chinese figures and floral and bird reserves. The bowl is in overall very good condition considering its age and use. There is some rubbing to the top edge of the bowl and a couple of minute, barely visible flakes and one one-third inch flake (professionally restored) to the outside rim of the bowl; these slight imperfections are to be anticipated and do not affect the overall value of the bowl. The carved hardwood stand is included. Bowls of this size are becoming more uncommon and desirable.
