Description
The platter, in the Fence and Vase pattern, showcases the bold decorative vocabulary of English ironstone, with a vibrant palette of cobalt blue, burnt orange, and gilded accents framing a delicate floral composition in the center. The ornamental border features cartouches and scrollwork that exemplify the ornate taste of the era, while the slightly scalloped rims add an elegant finishing touch to each piece.
Circa 19th century, England. Mason's Ashworth ironstone represents the tradition of durable, highly decorated tableware that dominated English ceramics production during the 1800s, combining robust utility with the artistic sensibilities of the period.
