Description
Decorative ‘Birch Bark’ Pottery Bowl, mid 20th century. This is a very decorative pottery bowl with a distinct style. The outside is reminiscent of birch bark and gives this bowl an interesting appearance. On the inside great graphical parts of the glaze are visible. All in all a very expressive design. Very mid century, but at the same time very much timeless and modern. In style it is both very European and Japanese at the same time, making it a bit difficult to say where it originally comes from. All in all it is a small bowl that leaves a profound impression when you take a closer look, due to the interesting use of materials and a very graphical quality of the glazing. In good vintage condition.  Â
