    Set of 12 English Georgian sterling silver dinner plates, 1810. Gadrooned serpentine rim interspersed with anthemions.

    Engraved coat of arms with Latin motto “Deus passit corvos”. English translation: “God feeds the ravens”. It evokes the divine provision for the small and vulnerable. Human agency, however, is required to acquire these plates, which were made by Paul Storr, Regency England's preeminent silversmith.

    Fully marked. Very good condition.
