Offered for sale is a set of four pre-Columbian footed Nariño bowls. One bowl depicts warriors, and all are beautifully hand-decorated. They were purchased as a group in the early 1990s from the previous owners who wanted them to be displayed by hanging on a wall. There are some signs of wear due to age and use as provided in the photos.

Pre-Columbian pottery spans thousands of years, between approximately 4000 BCE and the 1500s CE. It was created across multiple countries in North, Central, and South America. The earliest fired clay vessels appeared around 4000 BCE in Ecuador and Colombia, with major ceramic traditions later flourishing in Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, and Panama.
Pre-Columbian Nariño refers to the ancient indigenous societies that inhabited the mountainous Andean highlands of southwestern Colombia (modern-day Nariño Department) and northern Ecuador between 500 CE and 1500 CE.
