Description
This famille rose porcelain bowl showcases delicate pink roses and scattered florals across a cream ground, framed by a decorative orange and gold border at the rim and foot. The hand-painted decoration displays the refined palette characteristic of Chinese export porcelain, with deep brown foliage and vibrant accent flowers creating dynamic movement around the bowl's circumference.
Circa 1780, this piece represents the height of the Qianlong export tradition, when Chinese porcelain makers produced sophisticated wares specifically for European markets. The famille rose technique, which introduced pink enamels to the traditional Chinese palette, became especially popular for Western taste during this period.
