Description
Edwardian Classical sterling silver centerpiece flower bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1903. Bellied oval with flared serpentine rim; c-scroll end handles with cast scrolled leaf; cutout leafing scroll ornament heightened with engraving. Four cast leaf-mounted scroll support. With silverplated liner and metal wire frog.
Both liner and bowl have maker’s stamp. Liner has pattern no. 933 and bowl has pattern no. 15606 (first produced in 1903). Liner marked “Silver-Soldered-EP / Doublé” and bowl marked “Sterling Silver”. Very good condition.
Overall dimensions: H 9 3/8 x W 20 3/4 x D 11 1/2 in. Weight (silver only): 70.5 troy ounces. #CC531 -
