    Japanese sterling silver cream ladle. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Terminal double-sided with low-relief stylized ornament: Perched birds, flowers, and leafing stalks. Interlaced monogram engraved on verso. Tapering reeded stem flower-mounted to fluted and scalloped bucket bowl. Desirable serving piece in this pattern, which was designed by Edward C. Moore, who was a connoisseur and scholar of Japanese art. It was in production from 1871 to before 1904, and was revived as Audubon in the 1950s. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and pattern year (1871). Very good condition.
