Wave Edge sterling silver inkstand. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1884. Square with corner scroll-mounted supports. Centrally mounted bowl with hinged cover. Applied reeded and overlapping scrolls as well as wavy, fluting, and beading. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 7898 (first produced in 1884), and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.
