Bottle Holder with Cane-Wrapped Handle by Werkstätte Carl Auböck

Price Upon Request
  • Description
This bottle holder by Werkstätten Carl Auböck is made from a single bent brass rod forming a continuous frame that supports the bottle at the base while the upper loop acts as handle and brace. The grip is tightly wrapped in woven cane, providing both comfort and a warm contrast to the smooth, patinated metal surface. The design reduces the object to a clear, flowing line, typical of the Auböck workshop’s approach to functional sculpture. The curved brass outline defines the form in one gesture, while the hand-wrapped handle introduces texture and craft, balancing industrial simplicity with material refinement. Light patina to brass and minor wear to the cane wrapping consistent with age and use.
