Description
Turned wooden fruit bowl by Werkstätten Carl Auböck with integrated central cork knife holder, accompanied by six fruit knives by Ed. Wüsthof, Solingen, with cane-wrapped handles. The bowl is carved from solid wood with a softly flowing, organic shape, while the raised center element holds the knives upright in a radial arrangement. The sculptural form of the bowl is characteristic of the Auböck workshop, where everyday household objects were treated as refined decorative pieces. The given measurements refer to the bowl; each knife has the following dimensions: 17 cm long, 1 cm wide, and 1.5 cm high. Knives marked Ed. Wüsthof Solingen – Rostfrei; bowl unmarked. Light wear consistent with age and use.
