A French Aubusson floral oval tapestry from the 19th century with carved rectangular giltwood frame. Born in the famous Aubusson manufacture located in central France during the 19th century, this framed tapestry features a floral decor depicting a delicate bouquet of pink roses standing out on their green leaves, the ensemble being surrounded by a roped medallion and delicate ribbon-tied floral arabesques. Presenting an oval shape, the tapestry is set inside a simple yet elegant rectangular giltwood frame with beaded motifs, whose golden tones compliment the blue, pink and green pastel colors beautifully. With its refined motifs and its Aubusson quality, this French 19th century framed tapestry will bring a graceful touch of elegance to any home, perhaps hung above a credenza, console table of chest of drawers.
