    An early Boston Sampler dated 1743 and wrought by Sarah Thwing, the daughter of John and Joanna Davis Thwing. Decorated with the alphabet and numbers and the following rhyme – ” Sarah Thwing is/ my name and with / my needle wrought/ ht the same and if/ my skill it had been/better would/have mended every/ letter November/ the 9 1743?
