Impressive Antique Konya Kilim
-
Description
A fantastic antique kilim from Central Anatolia, with its larger-than-usual size, its dramatic border design and excellent color palette. A very impressive example of a centuries-old tribal weaving tradition from this very prolific region. A kilim like this would have been the pièce de résistance among the many items woven by a young tribal weaver for her dowry. It would have been used and displayed on special occasions. In excellent state of preservation.
