The Netherlands
Circa 1625 – 1650
A set of four very fine painted polychrome tiles. Two with tulips and two with fritillaries.
Painted within a quadrant or diamond, and with lilies as corner decorations.
Beautiful, strong polychrome colors, very well preserved after 400 years.
The tiles are in excellent condition, with normal superficial wear and small chips consistent with age.
Mounted in an old wooden frame and is ready for display. The tiles were once part of a French ceramic society; the frame is typical of their collection. -
