Description
The Netherlands
Haarlem
1610 – 1630
A nice panel of four so-called Haarlemmer (city) ornament tiles, in Italian style, with less-is-more decoration.
The decoration is influenced by Italian faience ceramics from Faenza and Deruta.
Pure Dutch Renaissance. This design is very rare to find and very progressive for its time.
The tiles are in excellent condition.
Mounted on a wooden panel, ready for display. -
