An example of a Lobi terracotta pot, an artifact from the Lobi people of Burkina Faso in West Africa. Large Lobi terracotta vessels are among the rarest and most prized examples of African pottery. These pots were traditionally used as sacred water vessels in both homes and temples throughout the 20th century.
