Moss-in-Snow Jadeite Ruyi Pendant

$ 380
  • Description
    Valued for its rarity and lustrous appearance, jade (yù) has long been a symbol of excellence, longevity and purity of virtue. Worn as jewelry or as a protective charm, the stone was believed to imbue a person with a clear mind and pure spirit, and to guard against evil spirits and illness.

    This jadeite pendant is shaped as a ruyi, offering blessings of longevity and good fortune. An ancient symbol from Daoist mythology, the ruyi is an auspicious symbol that references the lingzhi fungus, or reishi, a mushroom with magical properties thought to ensure immortality. Etched on one side of the pendant is a blessing for good luck, expressing a wish for your children to achieve great success. On the other side are two ripe offering fruits - a peach for longevity and a citron for wealth.
