19th Century Antique Oil Painting of "Young Girl at Wall Fountain"

Description
A finely painted scene with exquisite detailing of the figure and an intense layering of colors, there is a mastery of the elements surrounding this young girl that is noteworthy. The well worn stone wall behind her almost disguises the carved sculpture of a Lion from which the well springs. Her peaceful expression and relaxed pose are highlighted by the exquisite detailing of her face and colorful garments. The work is housed in an attractive contemporary giltwood frame.

Condition Report:
Professionally conserved and relined in the last thirty years. Very extensive and careful restoration with stabilized craquelure throughout, including recreation of the lowermost and uppermost of the scene, inpainting to edge wear, several repaired holes and other restorations; a more detailed listing of every observable restoration completed is available upon request. -
