This stunning Antiquity Carved & Polychromed Egyptian Mask XXX Dynasty originates from Egypt, Circa 300 B.C.E. A mask likely used for ceremonial purposes; this piece is carved in wood with pierced section where is was likely placed on a larger element. The layers of paint are visible with the eyes and additional detail remaining clear and distinct, using natural pigments and techniques of the time period. Fitted in a custom plexiglass frame with a linen floated and giltwood lining, this piece will draw the attention of collectors and those who appreciate fine artifacts from Egypt.
