On offer for your consideration we have a hand sculpted ceramic panel of a cubist figure made by Arnaldo Miniati, dated 1954.
This cubist sculpture essentially is the dynamic rendering of three dimensional object in the language of non-Euclidean geometry by shifting viewpoints of volume or mass in terms of spherical flat and hyperbolic surfaces.
Arnaldo's style and technique was very similar to Picasso and Boccioni's sculptures.
Here we have a reclining woman on a bed with wood panels on each side. This wall hanging sculpture came out of a modernist villa in Torino decorated in the early 1950's an interior that I will never forget, truly outstanding.
