    This mahogany banjo barometer features a narrow, elongated case with a circular barometer dial at the base and a thermometer tube running through the upper shaft. The case displays inlaid rosewood decoration and carved leaf motifs along the sides, with a pediment top fitted for wall mounting.
    Early 19th century, circa 1800-1830. This piece represents the refined English barometer design tradition, where functional weather instruments were crafted as decorative household furnishings combining both practical utility and artistic craftsmanship.
