Splendid view of the Ligurian port of Camogli, executed with dense and vibrant impasto typical of post-impressionist painting. The bright palette enhances the reflections of the water and the moored boats, immersed in a serene Mediterranean atmosphere. The work is signed and dated on both the front and back, where the full title also appears.
An excellent example of the mature production of Piovano, known for his maritime scenes and Italian landscapes rendered with lively painterly gestures.
