Description
A French framed watercolor from the 19th century signed E Calmant, depicting fruits surrounded by foliage. Created in France during the second half of the 19th century by Calmant, a female watercolor artist who exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1876-1881, this piece depicts an abundant arrangement of mouth-watering fruits displayed in a compotier or a plate, and charming us with their soft green, yellow and red tones. Set inside a gilt frame under glass and signed lower right, this 19th century watercolor will bring a discreet touch of elegance to any wall, perhaps hung above a commode, side table or buffet.
