A professor of sculpture from 1964 at George Washington University in Washington DC, Harry Gates became Professor Emeritus in 2002. A talented artist who worked in various mediums, he creates mixed media works as well as large-scale abstract sculpture. His work is in numerous collections including that of the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC, and Washington ans Lee University in Virginia. -
