Martin Rosenthal (1899-1974) was born in Woburn, Massachusetts and was also very active in New York. Know for his vibrant and layered abstract paintings often having a reference to stained glass. This large abstract is an oil on paper mounted to board with simple black painted wood frame. Heavy use of paint provides a strongly textured visual presentation. Signed at bottom right with date.
