A pair of Baslius Besler botanical prints each depicting three flower studies, one showing two irises and an alium, and the other three irises, the plants shown with their bulbs, root systems and flowers, hand-engraved on copper and then colored by hand, in later high quality shaped-profile ebonized frames with gilt borders and mattes with rounded inside corners and gilded edges. Prints made in Germany, circa 1615. Framing circa 1980..
