These bronze plaques present a pair of finely cast portrait medallions set within ornate foliate frames that radiate outward with botanical precision. Each features a classical profile bust in gilded bronze at the center, surrounded by densely carved acanthus leaves and scrollwork typical of refined Italian metalwork.
Circa 1820, these pieces exemplify the Neoclassical tradition that flourished throughout Italy during the early nineteenth century.
