Remo Bianco was born in Milan in 1922. In 1937, he enrolled in evening classes at the Brera Academy, where he caught the attention of F. De Pisis, who became his mentor. After an initial figurative phase, Bianco soon began experimenting with various materials—such as glass, wood, sheet metal, plastic, and plaster—exploring the third dimension by working at the intersection of painting and sculpture. In 1953, he met the entrepreneur Virgilio Gianni; thanks to this connection, he traveled to New York in 1955, and upon his return, he translated his gestural and mark-making experiences into collages. In 1957, he launched his renowned *Tableaux Dorés* series. he exhibited in many important galleries and museums around the world .
