Description
Here for your consideration is an original oil on canvas painting of a floral still life by the well known New York artist, Edna Palmer. Signed lower left. Condition is very good. The painting is housed in a custom gold leaf new frame. Overall framed measurements are 21.5 by 25.5 inches
Edna Palmer Engelhardt, a native of the Pocono Mountains was born in. 1897. She is best known for her winter scenes. Mrs. Engelhardt started painting at an early age when she first lived in Paradise Valley. Later she studied with several teachers from the National Academy. Her teachers were Cullen Yates, Harry Leith-Ross, John Carlson, Herb Olsen and Ted Kautzky. She has had four solo shows in New York City including a number of major shows at the National Academy. She was represented in New York by Grand Central Art Gallery. She died in 1991. -
