Description
This is an annual festival in May that takes place in Kyoto's Arashiyama district where sensu fans of asssorted colors are floated on the river. Rimpa School painting. Mineral pigments and gold leaf on mulberry paper with painted fans depicting various subjects. Silk brocade border and brown trim with original intricate bronze hardware. Each screen measures: 67 3/4"h. x 147 1/2"w.
