Description
A vintage gelatin silver print photograph by celebrated Hungarian-born photographer André Kertész (1894-1985). Entitled "Martinique", printed in 1972, this is an iconic image by the artist that beautifully showcases the artist's superb sense of light and shadow. The image size is 7-5/8 x 9-3/4 inches on an 8 x 10 inches sheet. Matted and framed in a silver leaf wood frame under museum grade UV glass. The print is signed, titled, and dated in pencil, and with photographer's stamp, verso as shown.
Born in Hungary and lived in Paris before moving to United States, André Kertész was a seminal photographer who is celebrated for his keen sense of composition and photographic essay. -
