Description
An editioned gelatin silver print by American photographer Duane Michals (1932-). Entitled "A Man Dreaming in the City", the gelatin silver print was created in 1969. It has a hand-written titled on the lower right margin. Signed and edition numbered 3/25 in ink on the bottom right margin of the sheet. The image size is 5" x 7". It is housed in a black wood frame as shown. The vintage image is dark and moody with a poetic ambience and homoerotic undertone, a wonderful example of the early work from the artist.
Duane Michals is an American photographer known for this surrealistic style of photographic work. Michals's work makes innovative use of photo-sequences, often incorporating text to examine emotion and philosophy. -
