Description
The United Nations, with the adjacent Chrysler Building, is wrapped in Divine Light while a man on a Jet Ski glides on the East River in the foreground.
Bright golden light rushes down 42nd street and cloaks the UN building in gold and blues, defining a unique moment in time
Signed and dated on the lower right, 3/15numbered on verso, Unframed, another size available. printed later, Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Brooklyn Museum, show "Images en Couleur" . 1971 Included he was included in the visionary book "Frontiers of Photography" Time-Life. Color ! American Photography Transformed. Amon Carter Museum. He has had more than 50 Photography Magazine Covers and has had covers on Newsweek, Fortune, New York Magazine and Life Magazine among others. -

As an undergrad in painting, he studied with great teachers such as first-generation abstract expressionist Robert Richenburg and hyper-realist painter Janet Fish. In Graduate School he worked with famed critic E.C. Goossen and went on to work as a Photographer, New York Advertising Art Director, and Art Collector.
