  • Description
    No Title No. 61, 1999

    Susy Gómez (Pollença 1964).

Positive photography on paper adhered to board. Unique piece.

He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona. His work is characterized by a great technical versatility: painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, video or installation. From ARCO 95, his work caused a great deal of excitement, for which he was included in important collective exhibitions, both national and international, such as the Salón de los 16 that same year. Since then he has made several solo exhibitions, of which stand out: Galeria Toni Tàpies - Edicions T (Barcelona, ??1996); The House That I Am Today Giorgio Persano Gallery (Turin, 1997); With a Kiss Center of Contemporary Art Ileana Tounta (Athens, 1998) and Maldito Corazón Museu d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain (Nice, 1999).
In addition to working the female body, in his work you can see several proposals, which continue the tradition of post-minimalism and at the same time linked to the most current aesthetics through which he has spoken about stereotypical female images and imposed roles.
