A big part of working with dogs throughout this process, involved learning their trigger words. After hearing about her lifelong dedication to the art of squirrel watching, we knew what to do to get the shot. Shooting this project was quite entertaining at times-- a team of grown adults squeaking toys, uttering strange noises and, yes, yelling squirrel over and over in the background, allowed for just the right amount of silliness and, ultimately, shots like this one where Lila is clearly poised and ready for a small friend to emerge.
