The six prints in this set were printed by the renowned Rudolph Ackermann, who was based in London though originated in Germany. Ackermann ran a successful publishing, printmaking and selling, and bookselling business, producing works in collaboration with leading early 19th century writers and artists, such as Thomas Rowlandson. The works in the present set depict scenes from a foxhunt: horses and horsemen with dogs chase through country fields. Each print is titled above ‘One of the Flowers of our Hunt’ and individually titled and signed below. The prints are held within giltwood frames.
