Description
Ink jet on paper (Digital art)
Artwork also available on canvas
Darkness here is shattered by ornament — by the sculptural grace of white rays and baroque forms. They hold together the inner dynamism of this intricate composition. Upon this structure, black circles and rippling waves create enclosed craters, reminiscent of a lunar surface.
Into this severe architecture, playful colors — yellow, blue, and faint red stripes — enter with vitality, suggesting that metaphysics is not despair. Metaphysics, too, can bear the warmth of the human touch. The human soul reveals itself in pure, untouchable play.
Beneath this epic scene lies a pale, rose-like ground, touched with an orange line — the foundation of the entire monumentality above. This base arises from Eros, the primal impulse and origin of the world itself — the tender beginning from which both light and darkness unfold
Rusa Tavartkiladze is a female Georgian artist born in 1990 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her practice moves along the edge of modernism and its afterlives. Her own artworks push beyond formalism, rooted in modernist foundations. They expand toward humor, philosophy, sarcasm, and mysticism. Each piece becomes a space where rational structures meet ambiguity, where order dissolves into play, and where meaning flickers between irony and transcendence. -
